Updates for Developers
Request for Proposal: The City of San José Housing Department is pleased to announce a Request for Proposal (RFP) for the development and operation of an Affordable Housing Rental Development Opportunity. The RFP (RFP CSJ HSG 11-1-16) can be downloaded on BidSync at www.BidSync.com.
The Housing Department will conduct a mandatory Pre-Proposal Conference on Wednesday, November 16, to assist all RFP respondents in completing the application, required forms, and to provide more information about the application requirements and project evaluation criteria.
New Notice of Funding Availability Released (updated 07-22-2016): Together with its local partners, the Housing Department issued a new $40 million Notice of Funding Availability on July 21, 2016, with a focus on new permanent supportive housing for homeless households. See the Loan Program page for more information.
Future expected commitments: On November 16, 2015, the City Council approved the Affordable Housing Investment Plan which establishes the priorities for an expected $103 million in funding commitments for the next two years.
Latest Development Roundtable: On November 13, 2015, the Housing Department hosted a Development Roundtable for property owners, developers, and asset managers; minutes from that meeting were sent via e-blast to the Department's contact lists and also are attached.
