Through the Office of Cultural Affairs, the City of San Jose offers programs of financial support to ensure a rich variety of arts and cultural opportunities for the community.

Core Cultural Funding Portfolio
The City’s core Cultural Funding Portfolio consists of three annual grants programs that are awarded through a competitive application process:

Guidelines for the upcoming FY 2019-20 Funding Cycle will be posted on each grant program page (in Resources section on left side) in mid-November 2018.  

NOTE:  Below is information for the most recently completed funding cycle.  Dates for the FY2019-2020 Funding Cycle will likely be similar and will be posted in early November 2018.

Pre-Application Workshops for FY 2018-2019 Grant Application Cycle
  • Festival, Parade and Celebration Grants (two identical workshops)
