Parents

The Action Sports Park is a family friendly atmosphere with basic accommodations to keep your family comfortable. You are encouraged to bring anything your family needs to make your visit more enjoyable. We allow outside food & drink (no alcohol). We have a free-to-use BBQ pit, which is popular on the weekends! We have over 3 dozen tables and benches scattered throughout the 10 acre park. Most all seating areas are shaded with umbrellas and tents, but be prepared for the elements. Bring sunscreen, pack layers of clothing and a cooler will help keep your riders stoked!

  • Children of ALL AGES are encouraged to visit the Lake Cunningham Action Sports park. There is no minimum, or maximum, age requirement for participation.
  • Children ages 5 and under need to be accompanied by an adult at all times while inside any of the riding zones.
  • The difficulty of the Riding Zones are classified by four levels:
    • Green: Beginner
    • Blue: Intermediate
    • Black: Advanced
    • Double Black: Expert
  • All riders must have a valid wristband to ride. All riders under the age of 18 must have a legal parent or guardian present to sign the liability waiver.
  • The best place to start in the Bike Park is the Beginner Pump Track and the Skills Trail. The Pump Track is a small looped track made of dirt with rollers and berms to ride on. The features are small enough that your little one can accomplish them and gain confidence. The skills trail is a half mile loop around the park which features obstacles ranging from beginner to expert. All riding features have a ‘ride around’ option so that your little one can make the choice to take on the feature or not. One lap of the skills trail generally takes 2-5 minutes to ride.
  • The best place to start in the Skate Park is the Puddles and the Street Course. The puddles are a set of three small concrete bowls, 3” in depth. These micro sized bowls are popular for beginners as they are right next to the main strip of outdoor tables for parents to watch...and enjoy some wifi. The street course helps teach your child the fundamentals of transferring their weight as the slopes go up and down throughout the park.
