Springtime “Sunday Series” Volunteer Work Valued at $17K

From March to May 2018, 240 volunteers donated 600 hours of service, a value of $17K to the Department of Parks, Recreation and Neighborhood Services. The volunteers picked up litter, trimmed trees, cleaned playground equipment and more. The Volunteer Management Unit oversees the “Sunday Series,” which provides residents with weekly community service opportunities to help keep city parks clean.
