San Jose East Foothills fire at Claitor Way and Lariat Lane

The San Jose East Foothills fire was reported at 4:39 p.m. and grew to 100-acres. The fire is 40 percent contained at 8:25 p.m. The San Jose Fire Department and Cal Fire have responded to the fire. San Jose Fire and Cal Fire remain at the scene until full containment. 

Eleven homes were evacuated and remain under mandatory evacuation. One home - confirmed - lost to the fire, and one was damaged.
 There are no injuries. 

The Berryessa Community Center, 3050 Berryessa Road, is open to residents affected as an evacuation and information center. Less than 10 residents have visited the center.
