  1. DATE CORRECTION - Affordable Housing Week: Artist Housing Panel, Reception, and Awards Ceremony

    May 18, 3:00 PM - 7:00 PM @ MACLA

PLEASE NOTE THE DATE CORRECTION FOR MAY 18, 2017 The Ghost Ship fire in Oakland was a sobering reminder of the affordable housing crisis that impact our city residents everyday, including artists who bring creativity and soul to our community. Rising rents have long put increasing pressure on artists living in non-traditional spaces, and now the crisis is coming to a head. Since the fire, a wave of evictions due to code violations has put further strain on artists who already struggled to afford their home. Please join our expert panel for a discussion on how to make our communities affordable for artists and creatives. Register at http://bit.ly/artisthousing2017.
