  2. Monroe bikeways at Cory Neighborhood Association

July 30, 7:00 PM - 9:00 PM @ Cory Elementary School Courtyard - bring a blanket or chair to sit on

An update on a project to install bike lanes on Monroe Street will be provided by San José Department of Transportation staff. The discussion will be an item on the regular Cory Neighborhood Association meeting agenda. Project Description Monroe Street between Newhall Street and Tisch Way will be repaved during the summer and fall of 2018. In addition to removing defects in the pavement, basic and buffered bike lanes will be striped along the entire length of the project. This will be accomplished by decreasing the width of travel lanes, removing a minimal amount of on-street parking, and reducing vehicle lanes between Hedding and Forest from four to two. The new lane configuration will calm traffic and conform to the segments of Monroe that are north of Hedding and south of Forest.
